What Is Imposter?
Imposter is a social deduction party game you play with friends around one phone. Everyone at the table gets the same secret word — except one person, the imposter, who gets nothing.
Players take turns giving clues about the word. The imposter has to bluff and blend in without knowing what it is, while everyone else tries to spot who's faking it. Talk it out, vote, and see who was right.
No sign-up, no accounts, no internet connection needed. Just pass the phone and play.
How To Play
1. Gather round. Any number of players can join in — the more people, the harder it gets to spot the imposter.
2. Pass the phone. Each player secretly looks at the screen. Everyone sees the same word, except the imposter, who sees nothing.
3. Give clues. Take turns saying one word or phrase related to the secret word — vague enough to not give it away.
4. Vote. After a round of clues, everyone votes on who they think the imposter is. Guess right, and the group wins. Guess wrong, and the imposter gets away with it.
